Dogs Unite

In this video I demo how you can reinforce heelwork by letting the dog tug on the leash (or if you choose not to use the leash- a tug toy). When you make the learning process a fun error-less learning process the dogs start to enjoy behaviors that could otherwise be very dull like heelwork. One of Splash’s favorite rewards is a good tug on the leash. But be warned, you first have to teach your dog to let go of the leash and grab the leash when you ask if you want to use it as a reward.
