I almost lost my dog over the New Year. I forgot that fireworks are alive, legal and popular on New Years eve here. He disappeared while the family was away during the day and he did not come back until the following evening. I am so grateful to have him back after 3am, 8am, etc. searches for our furry son and endless anxiety.

Update on Finly is that he had a five hour operation yesterday to remove the 4th vertebrae of his nech which was the one that had compressed and was giving him the trouble. All seems to have gone well and hopefully he will be home by Friday but a long road ahead yet.
